Registration is open and must be done “On-line” through the Shrub Oak Lacrosse Website . The SOAC Board, in a divided vote of 7 to 5, has accepted the recommendation from the Football Director to cancel Flag Football for Boys Grades 3/4 and 5/6. After reviewing all opinions and comments from parents as well as a presentation from Lakeland HS Varsity Head Football Coach Mike Meadows, it was determined that Flag Football beyond Grade 2 is detrimental to the tackle football program and ultimately the Lakeland HS Football program. This was a long and difficult decision as evidenced by the split vote. As a board we do not take the cancellation of any program lightly.

Matching Donations - Published on: Saturday, February 5, 2011
Did You Know that many corporations have matching fund donations, or donations to programs where their employees volunteer their time?  SOAC is a 501c3 not-for-profit all-volunteer program that survives on our registration fees and donations.  IF YOU ARE A COACH or other volunteer, or just a parent, please check with your corporation about donations.  We receive funds for our sports from major companies such as Verizon, IBM, and even the NY Yankees due to their matching donation programs.  Help keep the costs down for our kids!
