Shrub Oak Soccer founded in 1956, is located in upper Westchester County in Shrub Oak, NY. It is the vision of the organization to educate the youth of Shrub Oak, with the opportunity to participate in organized in-house & travel soccer. Shrub Oak Soccer intends to emphasize instruction, and education, on basic and advanced soccer skills, structured team play, sportsmanship, character building, leadership and a sense of fair play. Through supervision by qualified coaches & volunteer parents, coupled with these ideals, we hope to be competitive on the field of play at all levels and provide a framework for success in education and other endeavors as the youth develop.
SOAC hosts travel soccer within the EHYSL & WYSL program in age groups from U8 through U19. EHYSL & WYSL are two of the largest leagues in New York, and is the parent organization for US Youth Soccer & US Club south of the Albany area.
Our USYSL trained coaches focus both on the growth of the individual player and the team, preparing the players for the competition not only in the next game, but for competitions in the years to come. Tryouts for our youth teams take place in May, with tryouts for most of our high school teams taking place in the fall.
