The
AA Minors Division, is our combination coach pitch and player pitch for second and third graders (ages 7 & 8). This division is designed to continue providing fundamental instruction while players begin to learn to hit off live pitching from their peers and players begin to learn the fundamentals of pitching. Players will see live pitching from about 35 feet away using a safety ball. If the ball is not put into play or three strikes are not obtained the coach steps in and pitches to the batter. Players are not yet awarded first base for walks and hit by pitches. Teams will practice/play twice a week in the spring (once during the week and on Saturdays) and once a week on Saturdays in the fall for 90 minutes. Players will continue to learn and practice how to be part of a team (such as how to respect teammates, coaches, other players; and how to show good sportsmanship). Teams may consist of a maximum of 9/10 players.
